The Reds and Blue teams took part in the annual festival hosted by Blantyre Soccer Academy down at Hamilton Palace Sports ground today.
The Reds seemed out of sorts today, didn't perform as well as they can and seemed to self implode at times , need to dust ourselves down for Giffnock next weekend and of course the final day of the season the following week.
Blantyre 4 - 0
Blantyre 2 - 0
Blantyre 5 - 0
Glenrothes 3 - 1
Glenrothes 0 - 3 (Jordan Miller Hattrick)
Glenrothes 2 - 0
The Blues started well with a win over Dumbarton in the 1st game and lost a last minute goal to Blantyre Soccer academy in a spectacular match with both sides really going for it in the 2nd game, 3rd game seen us dominate Glenrothes and still lose by a goal (one of those games) 4th game seen us wining by 6 goals over Dumbarton and a great team effort and victory over Blantyre Soccer Academy sealed the 5th game , the final game Vs Glenrothes seen us having to field 3 players who had taken some knocks in previous games & due to players not turning up on the day (very disappointing) and only having 1 player on the bench, It was a game to far for the injury hit side and ultimately we lost the last game .
The both games against Blantyre where a joy to watch, end to end football and great sportsmanship on both sides....
All in all a decent day for the Blues ,played some excellent football and a great team effort from all who turned up....
