Claremont Colts Blues Take League 1 Title

Following on from the success of the Red team winning the Championship title last season the Blues have won the League 1 title of the SFA Pan Disability League.

(All the Claremont Colts teams ahead of the final league day in falkirk Sunday 28th April)
The Blue team competed against teams from Spartans Connections ,Motherwell CT ,Stirling City amongst others in the league days all held at Little Kerse in Falkirk losing only 3 times and only conceding 7 goals whilst scoring 37 goals throughout the season and also made the quarter final of the Scottish Cup which we narrowly lost to Thistle Red from the Championship.

1 player was absent from the squad on Sunday , Lewis Bennie was taking part in Kilt walk ,raising money for Teenage Cancer Trust , for that all at Claremont Colts are very proud and a winners medal was collected on his behalf.

The Blues are looking forward to life in the Championship which will see them come up against teams from Annan,Glenrothes and local team Blantyre Soccer Academy next season.

The league season maybe over but another Claremont Colts teams have a small matter of a Scottish Cup Final at Little Kerse on the 12th of May , The Whites A team will be playing League winners Gala Fairydean in the final ,the format of which will be a series of 3 games, if no winner is clear after that , it will go to penalties.
All the Claremont Colts teams will be competing in our own annual tournament on the 18th August , held at the Brancumhall pitches in East Kilbride and we'd love to see as many people come along to support the Colts as possible
